Doctoral Student Association of University of Pécs Outstanding scientific and art scholarship

 

Undersigned Mátyás Kiss, the president of the Doctoral Student Association (henceforth: PTE DOK) of the University of Pécs (henceforth: UP) by the 102/2024. (X. 14.) decision of the Delegates Assembly of PTE DOK, I announce the following scholarship call.

The Aim of the Scholarship

The aim of the Outstanding scientific and art scholarship is to support the professional and scientific advancement of the doctoral students in the UP based on by the k) section in the 3th paragraph of the ground-rules of PTE DOK.

The Outstanding scientific and art scholarship provides financial support for the doctoral students of the UP in two periods in a year (spring and autumn semester), in two categories with two subcategories for each:

  1. scientific activities,

    1. national or international conference presentation,

    2. other professional activity;

  2. art activities,

    1. national or international conference presentation,

    2. other professional activity.

Conditions of the application for the Scholarship

Those, who have active student legal relationship with the UP can apply for the Scholarship, if

  1. the above mentioned active legal relationship between the student and the UP is valid in the semester of application and during the supported semester;

  2. the applicants – in the case of winning the scholarship – commit themselves to provide a written and signed professional report for PTE DOK with the use of the 2. appendix of the Regulations of the Outstanding scientific and art scholarship.

The formal review of the applications

Applications, arriving three workdays before the application deadline, are formally reviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the PTE DOK. Following the formal review, the Committee may notify the call the applicants to supplement the application.

The review of the applications

The submitted applications are ranked by the Scholarship Committee of PTE DOK.

About the ranking of the Scholarship Committee of PTE DOK and about the amount of the financial support given, the decision is formed by the Delegates Assembly of PTE DOK by voting.

The base of the Outstanding scientific and art scholarship

  1. The scientific and art activities performed between the beginning of the last semester before the announcement of the scholarship and the time of the announcement. If the applicant has already won in an earlier period, only those certifications are admissible, that took place in the period since the last announcement.

  2. The reality of the planned scientific and art activities is well-founded both professionally and financially by the standards of the 3. appendix of the Regulations of the Outstanding scientific and art scholarship.

The review process of the applications

  1. The maximum value for each application is 100 points, by the principles of the 1. appendix of the Regulations of the Outstanding scientific and art scholarship.

  2. The amount of the financial support in case of winning the Outstanding scientific and art scholarship equals to the required sum, but it’s possible maximum amount couldn’t be higher than the subcategorical quotas stated in the invitation, formed by the Delegates Assembly of PTE DOK. In order to win, the applicant has to reach the minimum number of points, which limit is also set by the Delegates Assembly of PTE DOK.

  3. The minimal number of points is allocated in every application period by the Delegates Assembly of PTE DOK, with the consideration of the available financial sources and the number of the valid applications.

  4. The Delegates Assembly of PTE DOK has the right to form different minimum required amount of points in the case of categories and subcategories.

In this invitation you can apply for professional activities between 
1 February 2025 and 31 August 2025!

6 November 2024.

 

The applications should be submitted electronically only to the following e-mail address:

The application form should be filled electronically, printed and signed everywhere it is indicated and then scanned before submission. If the applicant submits a publication list, that should be signed also. All the submitted documents separately should be marked with the proper code number in the file names according to the call for application, failing this, the documents will be considered invalid. The application should be submitted as one, .zip compressed file.
